"Sasquatch"
    Part One

Where do I begin with stories from the far north? Stories from a place very remote from the rest of the world that time seemed to have forgotten.

"If you look at the photo above picture yourself standing on that shore. Hear the water lapping at your bare feet, and feel the cold damp air on your face. See yourself paddling for days on that remote lake, camping in the forest, seeing mama bear and her cubs, smelling the moss on the trees and the crunch of the limbs as you walk. A wolf cries across the lake and another in the far distance answers back. As you live there watching the eagles raise their young you will slowly feel your perspective on the world change. You will unplug from the false human world and start to see the real world. This world. You will become one, like all who live there. "

Yes, Maine is place unlike any other. Vast regions of the state are unoccupied. With the harsh winters there are regions with few, or no people. You can spend weeks on a lake and see no other people. At first it may seem eerie. Many flee and run back to the city. But if you stay ...  after a while you blend with the place. Soon you discover all who really live here.  This is a place where I learned to really connect with the animals. This is also where I learned about many things unknown to most of the world.

Today I will talk about Sasquatch. I will try to bridge you into the world I discovered. And if you are here reading this then you must be open and curious to reach out as well. You are asking and wanting to learn more. What was for me a first chance sighting - over time evolved to a more complete connection with them. This has broadened my sense and understanding of all of the birds and animals, and all of earth.

My understanding of Sasquatch is fairly close to what other serious researchers know of them. I am not unique. But before I get into the stories lets broaden our understanding of the many layers of life on this planet, Sasquatch included. For you will need this step to more fully understand Sasquatch.

First lets start with a bold statement then back it with examples we may already know.
"Most everyone on earth is psychic."
Humans are the ones on the fence so to speak. This may be a leap for some but not so much for others.

For those of us who own Dogs we accept that they have an awareness that we do not. How do dogs know someone they just met is Not of good character? And as we often see, how do they immediately know someone is super and fine and are so excited to meet them? Dogs are rarely wrong and they see it long before we do. We can't explain it but anyone with dogs who pays attention knows this is true. Similarly we can see that dogs somehow know what each other are doing without speaking. They know when we are thinking of feeding them before we get up and move or say anything? They know when we feel bad and have left work two hours early and are coming home. We can see they obviously have a greater awareness and another way of knowing and of communicating.

This applies to other animals as well. Large flocks of birds will all change direction in unison. They somehow all take off at once when only one was looking in the direction of what startled them? We can find examples all around us where the simplest answer is obvious. They all have a silent, quiet, communication channel, and an inner knowing. We all have the ability if we explore it. We joke that a Woman's gut feel is always right. Even men who don't sense things accept and know not to question a woman's intuition. As another example we often sense when someone is looking at us. We may feel it on the hairs of our neck. We just know we are being watched and we turn quickly and yes we are always right. To those of us who live in nature we have our senses much more awakened. We can feel when an animal is lurking around the next bend in the trail. It's an ancient ability we all have to keep us alive and safe. In our daily lives we apply this as well. We may feel that we better not go down that street or alley today. We have an inner knowing that is right there when we listen. These abilities are much more awakened in the animals in nature, and especially to the Sasquatch.

Now lets explore dimensions and realities that often blend with ours. How many have seen their dogs react to something we can't see? Perhaps a ghost, or a fairy, or something else just ran through the room. We may sense something is there. We may see a blur out of the corner of our eye or even clearly see for a moment what was there. But we know our dogs definitely saw it as they leapt up barking. For a brief moment there, we reached into another dimension, or part of that other world bridged into ours. We saw something not physical from another layer. We may have seen photographs of ghosts where they bridged between their dimension and ours and were caught on camera. So we have to ask what is going on here? We can dismiss it, or we can accept that somehow there are more layers to this reality than just this basic physical world. There are many higher dimensions where Beings and Spirits live. There are dimensions where the fairy folk play that some people have glimpsed to see. Worlds that can bridge with ours if even for a moment.

So as we see and learn to accept that there are greater dimensions and worlds around us we can begin to explore the possibilities. We can expand our awareness and learn to see more of what our dogs see. We can learn to be still and listen and awaken our inner knowing much as many Native Peoples of the world do.

Now we are ready to explore Sasquatch.

My experience with Sasquatch People has shown me they are fully aware and awake. Also they have a dimensional quality like the fairies. They bridge between two worlds. Or perhaps to be more correct, they bridge between slightly separated dimensions of our world. They are made up of several ancient races. They are some of the first races on this planet. They have learned and know many things beyond our understanding. Yet they remain humble, simple, and tied to nature and the earth. They look upon us as a young race, with great potential, but a potential that is not realized yet. Many of them are trying to reach out to those of us who have a better understanding and awareness of what life and earth is all about. They seek those of us with good character and kind hearts who respect nature and the others that live here. They look for those they may be able to meet with and share an interaction with.

I have seen them physically a few times for brief glances through the forest up in Maine. But my first encounter with a Sasquatch person was years before while hiking in the mountains in Colorado. We were walking in an area where very few people go. It was beyond a popular waterfall that many come to see. Most everyone would see the falls and then turn around to continue on their way. We ventured further up a trail. As we hiked I kept feeling someone was behind us. I sensed it was male. He felt large. This was early on in my experiences so I hadn't learned to listen or talk yet. But I could see where he was as a slight outlined disturbance. Kind of like people see ghosts. He was around eight feet tall. Felt gentle yet curious.

When we stopped to take a rest and sit he would lean on a tree, or sit on a rock. Once he leapt up into a tree and waited. He stayed around 50 feet away and just watched. If he spoke I was unable to hear him at that time. He followed us up the mountain a short distance and continued to follow as we turned around and went back down the trail. When we got in the area where people are more frequent he turned and went back up the mountain. I later read some history on the area and found there are many sightings of Sasquatch there. Many of the stories go back over 100 of years to the mining days. Apparently the humans tearing up the mountains was not something the Sasquatch cared for, or perhaps the activity just sparked their interest.

Many years went by before I encountered them again.I had moved to Maine and was becoming much more aware and awake. I had many experiences which had pushed my understanding of the world and was gaining in my ability to see and listen. I was perhaps growing closer to the way the animals hear and see the world. My partner and I had found a house in the forest. We had the place mostly to ourselves. A Moose would eat at the garden nearly every night although I never saw it. Skunks would wander through the yard and come up to say Hi and sniff at us before wandering on their way. Porcupines slept in the trees to avoid the Fisher Cats, a fierce Weasel found up there. There was one ghost who often stood near the shed. An older gentleman who just watched some days. I never heard him speak but he was often there. It was a quite place surrounded by wildlife of all sorts.

One day I felt someone looking at me. The feeling we often get when we know someone is there. In the forest a ways away was a Sasquatch trying to connect. He must have sensed I could feel him and was reaching out. I talked briefly with him. We talked in a silent speech sending messages back and forth. With my connection with animals I have come to realize this is how most beings seem to communicate. He had noticed that I stood out and wanted to say Hi. I asked him if he lived in the woods here, or was just projecting in? He said he lived about 20 miles away. When I asked if he would ever come so I could see him in person he replied likely not. It was a long walk past many homes. And he just wasn't comfortable with doing that. So he would reach out in this way from time to time. And he preferred it. He mentioned it was good for me to work on this approach as well. He touched base a few times the year I lived there. We really weren't sure what to talk about. He knew I was new at this and just wanted to be gentle I think. After I left there my partner sent me photographs. She had snow footprints of a Moose walking up the long driveway to the road. And three feet away walking beside it was a large human footprint. They stayed the same distance side by side, so they clearly walked together up the path. Maybe the two were enjoying the fresh snowfall, and perhaps wondering where I had gone.

Another encounter I had was a year or two later. The place I lived was similarly situated in the thick of the forest. I was coming back from the shower house late in the evening when there was a large banging on a tree. It hit with tremendous force. It wasn't like a bat hitting a tree. It was clearly a tree hitting a tree. It was a sound you don't mistake as natural or normal. Clearly someone with immense muscle was out there. The trees struck each other three loud times. I stood there silently listening for more. But it was quiet. I thought I should respond. So I went over and rapped on my truck fender three times as loud as I could. Yes my rap was pale in comparison to trees hitting trees but still they heard it. They responded back with three more whacks. I rapped on the fender three more times. They stayed silent after that. I got quiet and reached out mentally and introduced myself. I told them I respected them and would mean no harm.

The first to speak a day later was a younger male. He was a warrior of sorts although it felt more like a posturing as his kind heart showed through. He did what he could to protect his family. I sensed he was younger like a teenager. I understand they live for a very long time though so age was hard to judge. His younger brother was with him. He was a quieter more gentle soul. And then the mom chimed in. She was more shy and weary of humans. She appreciated my sentiment and kind words. We touched base a few more times in the following months that I lived there. We never were sure what to talk about. But we would reach out and say Hi sometimes late in the evening. They said they lived pretty close but avoided human contact. I was a rare meeting for them as they didn't reached out to humans very often.

This was my slow and interesting introduction to Sasquatch. It was in small steps over many years.  My time in the wilds of nature helped a great deal with the interactions. They were more frequent and became easier over time.
